Howdy folks! These are my jams from the past week. Wolfgang Gartner- Redline

I’ve been a fan of Wolfgang Gartner for a very long time and I’m a big fan of his signature sound. When I see he’s released a new track I know what to expect, a heavy bassline, a lot of sound distortion, and heavy synths, which is why I’m very surprised with his latest release. Redline has definitely brought Wolfgang Gartner out of his element and it’s actually quite good. The track definitely falls more in to the progressive house genre and I think it shows how eclectic he could be as a DJ. It’s very melodic filled with an assortment of light synths and light drum sounds, which is not your typical Wolfgang Gartner track.  While listening to it I do hear a slight distortion on the light synths and sound patterns, which gives it a bit of that signature Wolfgang sound. Personally I like the track, it has a catchy melodic pattern and over all a good progressive house song. I definitely commend him for trying something new, but do I think this is his new sound? No, but I do think it’s important for DJ’s to try something new once in a while.

Hello music fans and electronic music lovers everywhere, ARE YOU READY TO THUMP?? Tonight’s TNT’s consist of some names many of you may have never heard before. Artists like Dyro, yet another up in comer from the Netherlands, Firebeatz, another duo from the Netherlands, an artist I admittedly don’t know much about, Vengeance. Expect harsh, bone crushing sounds coming from your speakers, this weeks TNT’s are more about sound and less about melody. I personally am obsessed with Wolfgang Gartner’s new Redline release as it has been on repeat all day! So enjoy your TNT’s and your Thursday night, PrivateParty!

The preview of this track was released on Tiesto’s soundcloud about a week ago and today the official version has finally been released. Both of these DJ’s need no introduction and this collaboration has produced what’s sure to be a hit this upcoming summer. You can definitely hear the styles of both DJ’s on this very up beat hard hitting track. This is a track from Tiesto’s next album, which is going to be released on April 24th.

Dance fans everywhere rejoice! Lots of new releases from a variety of artists over the past few weeks. Tonight dance to another Dada Life Guerilla Fart,  Wolfgang Gartner, the living god of electro, some incredible mash ups, but mostly bass thumping, room  pumping musical arousalness (I made it up, don’t hate). Wolfgang Gartner- There And Back

Wolfgang Gartner, born Joseph Youngman, has grown from a relatively unknown deep house Dj to a globally recognizable icon. Eight of his songs have held a number 1 position on Beatport Top 10 Chart, and he received a Grammy nomination for a remix of “Funk Nasty” by Andy Caldwell. Accompanied by a multitude of other awards and accolades, Wolfgang’s success has grown extensively over the past few years. One of Wolfgang’s most recent tracks “There and Back Again” manages to meet the high standard that many hold him to. A sinister synth riff accompanied with what sounds like an organ dipped in electricity cycles throughout the roof of the track.  Making up the ground level is a deep bass, and when these components are added together a fortress of electronic madness is forged. Some argue that this track is different from his typical style, but you’ll just have to learn to love it. Don’t Miss.

Highland Entertainment, and MCP presents will be hosting its 4th annual Lights All Night NYE event at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, TX. This year Lights All Night will be bigger than ever, so if your in Texas over NYE, this is an event you will not want to miss!
