Thursday Night Thumpers

Good music. I Love good music. Nothing does the soul better than good music, and if your a fan of TNT’s then obviously your a fan of good music too. There is quite a mix n mash of music for tonight’s Thumpers. House as always, booties, great progressive house tracks with some electro flare, and some new dubsteppage for those who like to turn the intensity up a notch. I must say that the total output from the Nation lately has been overwhelming, but solid posts, every post. Although some of the names on tonight’s TNT’s may be unknown, expect nothing less than a solid post. As always I want each listener to enjoy every track as if they were in the crowd (sweating, dancing, and raging) of the artists live show. Not only do I find this amusing but I find a deeper respect for the music. Enjoy the music, PrivateParty!

SIZE Matters…!

I have started to notice that in 2011, SIZE Records will take over. SIZE Records is Steve Angello’s label and it’s home to artists such as Funkagenda, Kim Fai, AN21, Thomas Gold, Tim Mason and many more. I’ve been waiting to post this song for quite some time now and ever since I got it, I seriously cant get enough of it. Everyone in the EDM world is absolutely ecstatic about this song including Dirty South, Steve Angello, Tiesto, and Hardwell. At Masquerade Motel, Steve Angello dropped his version of the song and I went nuts! I had no idea he was working on this song and ever since then, I haven’t stopped searching for it.  After this song hit DJs’ sets, it will start to take over Europe the rest of the U.S. one club at a time. “The Moment” is a perfect title when trying to describe this progressive house song.  Tim Mason created this beautiful song and one thing that’s for sure , is that he will be doing big things in 2011. There are so many different aspects of this song I enjoy, which is maybe why I love it so much.

No doubt, this will be one of the biggest songs of the year. Enjoy the F*** out of this!

Hola familia! I know that I have been absent for the past 2 weeks of TNT’s and I hope that you’ll all accept my deepest apology. One benefit from not posting for the last 2 weeks is that I have an updated field of musical madness. Ultra having been last weekend, I wanted to know what top tier DJ’s were playing for there first big show of 2011. Most of the songs on this edition of TNT’s were those tracks, totally erupting over each person in the Ultra crowd. As always I like to open up the Thumpers with the more easy going of the bunch. A soothing EDX remix of Dinka’s Elements and a song that I’m already in love with, Wake Up from Adam K and Soha, is remixed by none other than Adam K and Soha. Enough of the solid deep house, Tocadisco a big name producer who doesn’t get enough love literally drops the bass on your head. I saw that lots of Dj’s during Ultra were sampling Jump Around, so there’s 2 different versions, let me know which one you enjoy most. The dirty dutchmen released his newest single, Doing It Right. Finally another track from Nero, this isn’t the full version but it’s still magnificent. Lastly a rare quieter remix from Boys Noize, who we all know is playing at Soundwave very soon.  Love these TNT’s, enjoy your Thursday, I know I will, PrivateParty!

Alex Metric & Steve Angello Ft. Ian Brown- Open Your Eyes

I am not sure if any of you remember when the original mix of this was song was first posted, but it received great feedback from the readers of the nation. A while back, I was on twitter and read a tweet from Sebastian Ingrosso to Alex Metric saying he loved the vocal version of this song (he used to fall asleep to it because it was so beautiful!). Since then I have been patiently waiting for the vocal version of this and I finally have it. Since I got it, I have easily listened to it over ten times and still can’t get enough of it! The vocals are just as good as Sebastian has claimed. This mix has attracted many fans of rock music, integrating house music with a taste of Alternative edge. They compliment the song perfectly, so I highly recommend everyone checking it out. Over the weekend, Steve Angello dropped this and I literally stopped recording my video to continue dancing.  I hope this makes everyone’s day as it did mine. Looks like Laidback Luke saved the best for last, since his official remix of Cinema has just surfaced! Without a doubt the wait for this remix was well worth it. LBL added his distinct sound and pattern to this remix, and you can tell from the start of the song that it’s an official LBL mix. Lucky for me, I will be seeing him in a few weeks at ULTRA, and I cant wait for him to  blow me away. His live performances are awesome, and seeing him on the main stage at ULTRA will be one hell of an experience. Make sure you turn the volume up on your speakers for this one, because its a banger!

Hello all!! I couldn’t be more excited to post this weeks Thumpers. Not being able to post last week put me in a bad place. It’s like taking a baby hippopotamus away from his mother, it’s emotionally straining, but you know that mama is gunna come at you with some force. Well here is my rebuttal, and I’m coming in hot! The mix of this weeks Thumpers are largely house, electro house, and some progressive beats. To open, the new Steve Angello & Alex Metric track, a perfect warm up song  which will set you up for the rest of the tunes and a song I am going to set as my alarm clock to ensure a glorious wake up. Next a set of songs that are purely house: Brave, a song produced by Benny Benassi and Will.I.Am, Big Fucking House, Groovebox, Hungry Pony, and I-Tune. Each song has a very specific sound, a sound as we say here at the Nation that will BLOW YOUR SPEAKERS!! Next a Benny Benassi remix of Katy Perry‘s E.T. I’m happy to see Benny coming back strong, not that he ever left, but as an older producer in the electronic music game he still brings heaters. To close out tonight’s Thumpers and bring you into the late night festivities, an Only You remix from Ken Loi, a spectacular mash up from Hardwell, and Embrace, the new EDX track. Of course the Thumpers wouldn’t be complete without a little dose of DnB. It’s a UUUGGE weekend here in Boulder, we’re no longer in the negatives which means I can actually go outside without my entire body freezing, but more importantly it’s my roommate and good friends birthday tonight which means one thing, it’s going to get reckless!! Oh and did I mention Dada Life @ Beta on Saturday?! I wish all of you a happy and healthy weekend, PrivateParty!

AHHHHHHH! It makes us so happy to know that everyone on The Nation loves Avicii! Rumor has it this young genius will have the biggest year in 2011. A few weeks ago Avicii held a free concert in Toronto, Canada. This is one of the coolest things a DJ has ever done, and it shows you how grateful he is of his fans. While we wait for Avicii to release some new music, we are posting a few of his older songs that never made it on The Nation. A video was recently posted from an Avicii concert on New Years Eve, where he does drop a massive new single. In the video he plays a song titled “Avicii feat. Shermanology – Blessed” and it’s expected to be his new hit. Everyone is expecting it to be HUGE so make sure to leave some feedback, and let us know how you feel about the song. On 12/29/2010, he dropped a mixtape at Fun Radio, so we thought we would include it. The mixtape is pretty legit and very similar to his essential mix, so I can only imagine everyone will enjoy it.
