Hoodie Allen & Mike Posner- Evil Woman (ft. ELO)

This song has an infectious beat, smooth vocals and some dirty rhymes. It’s just a great all around song and one that I’ve been listening to pretty constantly over the past two weeks. Mike Posner adds his signature touch of suave, silky vocals on this track. Overall, this song is sure to be great in many different contexts, whether it’s chilling at home, and getting ready to go out or at the club. This track maintains the identity of both Hoodie and Posner, while fusing the styles of both artists perfectly. We can be rest assured that this will not be the only track that these two collaborate on. On a related note, Hoodie Allen has impressed me his new album All American. His single No Interruption is sure to spread like wildfire, as will other songs off of the album including No Faith in Brooklyn (ft. Jhameel). Thursday Night Thumpers

It’s Thursday again, and I still feel like I got back from Global Dance Festival last night. Oh how the time flies. Not a problem though, I have a house heavy edition of Thumpers for Nation fans this week. Opening with Afrojack’s new compilation, The Way We See The World, a loud, Dutch-House masterpiece! Be carful, this one will blow your speakers! Thanks to the guys at GDD for posting Clockwork’s Levels remix of Avicii, another big room club edition of this Avicii track. I have a live version of Deadmau5′s new song Deer Bus from Ibiza. A classic industrial progressive tune from the Mau5. Finally AN21 & Max Vengeli’s remix of Save The World was released, a true Thumper edition of the song. I’m also posting Pierce Fulton’s Remix of Left To Right, a song he released on his SoundCloud for gaining 3000 friends on FB.  To close, the Dubsteppage; White Noise’s remixes CAPS and Mike Posner and Rusko make a great collabo. Pierce Fulton, an 18 year old DJ stationed in Vermont, has busted into the electronic music scene like a bat out of hell. Fulton’s music gets better and better as the year goes on, and will continue to progress with time. I don’t even know where to begin when trying to explain how talented this kid is. He has the ability to touch any song and make an incredible remix to it. I can only imagine that he will have one hell of a year in 2011. Mashup Monday

In preparation for New Years, this weeks mashup’s will hopefully be the best ones yet! In this post, I’m giving you guys a ton of mashup’s that have been sitting around waiting to be put up on the Nation. To start off we have a couple from the The MashMaticians. These are really solid, and are driven by house music, which is what I love. By far my favorite track is “Please don’t go alone” because its a mix of the Calvin Harris song, “I’m Not Alone” which is a classic. Rumor has it that Chris Brown illegally sampled it for his hit song “Yeah 3x“. I’ll leave that up to y’all to decide whether he stole it or not. This is a very random assortment of mashups, so make sure to check them all out. Also make sure to check back later this week to see which mashups made the cut for the “Top Mashup’s” of the year.
