In my last article I vented my excitement about the opportunity to go to Vegas. I also talked about how it was an incredible coincidence that the song I was writing about was called Vegas. Well, this weeks subject of critique must be a divine sign from the gods. I have been sent THREE tracks concerning Vegas. The first of the trifecta, Produced by Chuckie (feat. Gregor Salto) and remixed by our own affiliated artist Pierce Fulton, “What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas” is a great track injected with some Vegas insanity. Layered sounds and textures create a really smooth and pumping sound that is better heard the louder it’s played. The Cold Blank remix is just as rhythmic, but with a touch of aggression that comes in the form of a thick baseline. Breaking the tie two way tie is the TJR Remix. While all three remixes take a great original and add a great twist, TJR breaks it down and takes the crown with the heaviest drop. Because i can’t stop referencing the promised land that is Vegas, ill put these songs in the order I’d play them the next time I hit Nevada. The Pierce Fulton remix is pretty uplifting and dreamy, so this is the song that’s bumping before the night begins. The Cold Blank remix comes on when you’re not exactly sure what time it is or where you are; all you know is that everyone around you is dancing and you’re swimming in flashing lights. Three days later when you wake up, the TJR remix plays to remind you that although the morning after may be rough, the night before was too incredible to even talk about. It’s better left in Vegas.
