So Nicky Romero just released this track today and is it ever a banger. But then again, you wouldn’t expect anything less from him. Right from the beginning the song starts its ascend to the drop. He uses his progressive style with some nice intro chords which eventually leads to a drop that is massive and different than what I expected. The drop will certainly induce a complete explosion from the crowd whenever this song is played live. If you are from San Francisco as I am, you might want to plan on seeing Nicky Romero perform at Space 550 for NYE. I’ve only seen him perform once and it was complete chaos. He had the whole entire place going nuts. With that being said, if you do plan on heading to Space 550, I recommend getting your tickets asap. You can purchase them here. One more thing, always play this on 100 volume.

‘Love Comes Again’ is the song the sparked my deep love for electronic music. Tiesto produced a powerful trance tune that hypnotizes with loud synths and a quick bass line. Before all this blog madness started I remember listening to the song On Demand, you know that thing on cable, one time after another. I would set the party off with ‘Love Comes Again,’ playing it until I would find myself raving at my house completely alone in the late hours of the night. Late this summer I saw a video preview for the Hardwell rework of the track, and needless to say, I was aroused. Hardwell has adopted my favorite son, re-raised him, and released him into the wild stronger and more well equipped. Enjoy the rework and make sure to take a listen to the original. The show famous for bringing EDM fans just a little bit closer to their favorite producers and DJs absolutely destroyed this past weekend. Max Vangeli & AN21, famed members of the ‘Size Matters’ crew and wingmen of the Swedish House Mafia play bootleg after bootleg in this mix, BLASTING anthems one after another. Kaskade’s mix earlier in the year was much talked about but after listening to Max Vangeli and AN21′s mix a few (hundred) times through, it gives Kaskade’s mix a run for the title. Concert Review – Deadmau5 @ Red Rocks

The one, the only; everybody’s favorite rodent and the man who has single handedly evolved the EDM world, Deadmau5. Performing with his new stage to a sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater, Joel Zimmerman AKA Deadmau5 astonished and awe inspired yet another group of crazed fans. As the Nation Team embarked on Red Rocks last tuesday night, excitement and anticipation ruled the air. Waiting patiently to shuffle through the rowdy crowd at Red Rocks, the biggest crowd I have seen there, Excision quickly turned the clear Colorado night air into a filthy, bass pounding dance party as his dark, powerful sounds reverberated with intensity of the mountain walls. Finally we arrived to our seats, positioned dead center in the madness just in time to capture Excision playing his newest track, X Rated, a song I had never heard before and will never forget. The time had finally come. Deadmau5 began the show everyone had been waiting for opening with one of his new tracks, Where’s My Keys, and in no time showed off the talents of his new stage. It was no surprise, the stage was bigger, more extensive, and literally beautiful.

He continued on with his set playing classics like FML, Some Chords, Strobe and the always popular Ghosts N Stuff. Having seen many Deadmau5 shows however, I was most excited to hear, Professional Griefers, the song every person is talking about and the pride of his new light show. What did that silly Mau5 do next, send each member of the crowd into a trance high above the Denver skyline. Here’s a clip of the new song.

The Mau5 was not finished however, putting the icing on the cake, playing his compilation with Wolfgang Gartner, Animal Rights. I had long awaited hearing Deadmau5 play one of my all-time favorite dance tracks and it seemed every individual at Red Rocks agreed with me. The place went off! Hands flying everywhere, people attempting to sing the rhythm along with the song while contorting their bodies into whatever position seemed fitting. I can’t deny, I was right there with them attempting a sort of robot, moon walker, washed up break dancer move that I am told worked out quite nicely.

The night ended, but the memories will never fade as images from Deadmau5′s Red Rocks performance will forever be engraved into my mind. Noticing the happiness on the Nation Teams faces and everyone else surrounding, it is safe to say Deadmau5 put on the performance of a life time. All I can say is thank you Deadmau5, hope you had as much fun as the rest of us and I’ll be seeing you next time, PrivateParty!

Global Dance Festival (Review)

What a year it was at Global Dance Festival this time around. This year the festival was 3 days, each day specific to fans musical tastes. For those of you who have not heard or been to GDF before, it is an EDM festival just outside Denver, CO at the best venue in the world, Red Rocks Amphitheater. Wedged into the front range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the festival consists of 3 separate stages, each with their own personality and feel, and a totally different perspective of music than any other festival in the world. When describing this festival to friends and family I like to use the world intimate; unlike larger festivals like Ultra and EDC, the crowd is spacious but still up close and personal with your favorite DJ/Producer. Personally I had the time of my life at this years Global Dance Festival, dominating the scene with the Remix Nation Team at Red Rocks, and those who went to the Beta Nightclub after party. Below is a quick review of the top performers at this years GDF.

Avicii

As Always, Avicii threw down a monstrous set. Playing his classic tracks as well as the brand new ones, the crowd was in a permanent Avicii coma. His set began at 9 0′clock just as the sun was setting over Denver, making for a perfect intro. As the set progressed his tracks seemed to get louder and louder as the strobes began to kick in and the sun set. Closing with the always epic Steve Angello, AN21 & Max Vengeli Remix of The Island, Avicii’s set was one the crowd of GDF will never forget.

Skrillex

Global Dance Festival was Skrillex’s first time ever playing at Red Rocks and thus, he crushed the crowd with his totally individual sound, as usual. Performing live mash-ups like My Name Is Skrillex and Nero’s Promises, his show was the most energy filled moon dance party Red Rocks has ever seen. By far my favorite part of the set was his new remix of Benny Benassi’s Cinema followed by a mash-up of TC’s Where’s My Money (Capsa Remix) mixed with Savage’s Shake That Ass, always a great sing-a-long. Overall a classic sounding Skrillex set, smashing the faces of the helpless Red Rocks crowd. Check out this amazing video, Thanks to averonalus for the footage. Morgan Page

I must say that my favorite set of the weekend was put on by Morgan Page. His set was on the top stage while Gareth Emery was performing on the main stage. Most people made there way to the top of the Red Rock Amphitheater for this explosive set. Morgan is know for his melodic, bass pounding, dance sets, and he was far from disappointing his fans. What surprised me most was the variety of his set. He played live/festival versions of his famous tracks, Longest Road and Call My Name, and as soon as I thought I had his set figured out, Mord Fustang’s Lick The Rainbow, emerged from the basstastic underground lords to ignite the crowd to a level I never thought possible. Morgan kept the crowd on there toes, or in the air, however you see it, playing my overall best DJ set of the weekend. The video below shows the madness as Morgan dropped Mord Fustang’s track and my favorite Morgan Page Remix, I’ve Had Friends. The video is a little shaky (try not to ralf while watching) do to the rowdiness level, but that’s what you get when you strap a GoPro to the biggest Nation fans chest. Thanks again Whitness.

Nero

The set I was most excited for was that of Nero’s. I had never seen Nero perform before, which is insane considering my deep obsession for the duo. The set was action packed as the crowd took endless punches from the infinite number of Nero bangers. Nero dropped everyone’s favorite thumpers, Promises, Me & You, and Innocence. There truly is nothing like an up-tempo Dubstep/Drum & Bass set played from the hands of a ledgend. Thank you Nero for enhancing my love. Thanks again to averonalus for the footage.
