Alex Clare – Too Close

Who says that nothing good ever comes from Internet Explorer? It was my fate that I would hear an oddly intriguing song during an Internet Explorer advertisement, decide to look it up online and subsequently blog about it and share it to you. This song is purely magical because I’ve been listening to it non-stop for the past week or so and there seems to be no end in sight for this madness. The song itself was released in 2011, but has recently picked up a considerable amount of traction. It has evocative and passionate lyrics and is backed up with a very strong dubstep beat. It is a great song to enjoy in many different settings. I think it’s often difficult for many EDM fans to separate electronically produced music from partying and going out, but this song has so much emotion that it can stand alone. If you are a fan of bass or an admirer of lyrics, this is a song I would recommend. If you enjoy both of those things and have been waiting for an artist that combines these elements seamlessly, then I would highly suggest looking at other tracks by Alex Clare here. The Wanted- Glad You Came (Remixes)

I originally started writing this a few months ago, and for some reason never finished it. As many of you know, the original version of this song is all over the radio. The song is great, catchy chorus with an intoxicating beat. Let me tell you, it is impossible for this song to not put a smile on your face! The remix I am talking about was done by the Italian veteran Alex Gaudino. For those of you that know about this producer, you’ll know he messes around with a lot of radio remixes… which has its ups and downs. Still to this day, he created one of my favorite house songs “I’m In Love”, which I recommend you all check out. I don’t see my self hearing this track being performed at a club by any big-name DJs, but if you are a local DJ and looking for a track that will spice up your set… look no further! The remixes are old but they are still good! Enjoy!

Taio Cruz ft. Flo Rida- Hangover (Mikael Wills Bootleg)

Mikael Wills is fresh on the scene, and has produced an impressive arsenal of popular remixes and bootlegs. His newest track, a bootleg of the song “hangover”, is not for the faint of heart.This track is a member of my favorite class in the genus House, as member of the kingdom of Electronicada. “Hangover” Bootleg is what I like to classify as a Rally Song. This is a track you bump as loud as for ears can possibly bear because its 3 in the morning and everyone’s passing out but you need to get them up and rally because its a Thursday night and Thursday nights you go hard, hard studying of course because finals are right around the corner for just about everyone. Spilling with adrenaline, this bootleg is about as effective as a literal shot of adrenaline if your night is starting to go south, and the books look boring. A pulsing baseline and high-flying hook wash away your fatigue and get the night rolling once again. Adversely, this makes a pretty insane party song for when studying is over, or if you need a night to reward all your hours spent in the library. Check out his other remixes HERE and remember, the next time your getting ready to hit the library : When your eyelids start feel like lead, its not because its 4 in the morning and your running on no sleep all you need to do is make it to this song on your respective device, and press play.

Bob Sinclar – Me Not A Gangsta

“Me not a gangsta, me only steal it from the rich and give it to the poor.” I guess it makes sense. Those lyrics come from the brand new Bob Sinclar Track “Me Not A Gangsta” featuring vocals from Colonel Reyel & Mr Shammi. You don’t really see songs like this one very often coming from an electronic based producer, but then again Sinclar is notorious for his love of Jamaica. The song has a great carribean vibe, mixed with some French-like synths and is nothing short brilliant. Unique in every meaning of the word. Check it out.

Ever since the original surfaced, there has been a lot of buzz about this track and now that the music video has released it has received even more attention (9 millions views in 5 days). In the previous post made for this track I said this would be a song you would be hearing non-stop, and I couldn’t have been more right.  As the remixes for the track started to emerge it was only a matter of time before some notorious names in the industry put out their touch on the original song.  Those of you that have a twitter account have read Chuckie and R3hab’s tweets about their remixes, and after hearing them I couldn’t be happier with the results. R3hab’s radio edit turns this track into an insane club banger that you can’t get out of your head. Look for this heavy and fast paced rager coming through your pre-game speakers soon. La Sape’s remix brings a similar house feel, and the catchy baseline and will get you up and moving like you know how to do.  Chuckie’s remix is by far my favorite, listen to them all and decide for yourself. David Guetta & Usher- Without You (Remixes)

As many of you know, David Guetta’s newly released album, Nothing But The Beat, is a two-disc set. The first disc featured some of the pop industry’s biggest names like Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Lil’ Wayne, Snoop Dogg, and Usher. Nearly every one of these tracks have climbed onto the radio scene and emerged as some of the biggest club bangers across the country. DJ Mag also crowned David Guetta the # 1 DJ in the world this past weekend. What a year this man has had! On the first CD, Guetta’s track “Without You” easily stands out the most and has gone on to win the hearts of thousands of girls across the world. Over the past weekend while I was in Vegas, my amazing date for the weekend opened my eyes to the true beauty of the original version of this track. This song is extremely catchy and has one hell of a beat. Usher’s vocals perfectly compliment this song and are one of the many reasons why it has done so well. Over the past month or so, tons of remixes have surfaced to this track by a few of the bigger names in the industry. Within the past few years, DJ Mag gave the # 1 spot to Armin Van Buuren… but not this year as he moved down a spot to # 2. Seeing the # 2 DJ mix the # 1 DJ’s banger was a pretty nice surprise. Every single remix in this package are all very unique! So take some time to listen to them and figure out which one is your favorite!
