While on tour between the two weekends of Coachella, house artists Axwell and Madeon stopped in Denver, CO on Thursday April 19 for an awesome show at the Ogden Theater. The French seventeen year old took the stage and immediately engaged the crowd. He played his own hit, Icarus, then got everyone to sing along to Calvin Harris’ We Found Love. Madeon also revved up the show in his classic black blazer as he danced with everyone to Rolling Stone T-shirt by Dada Life. Then, Swedish superstar, Axwell, stole the stage and gave nothing short of an exciting and energetic set that had the entire theater dancing and singing until the very end. At the peak of the show, he played his remix of In My Mind by Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl, shooting off confetti cannons at the drop that made the crowd scream for more. In addition, Axwell played one of our personal favorite remixes from him and Dirty South of Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap. This show was memorable and will make house fans put Madeon and Axwell on their list to see again in the future, we hope they come back to Denver soon.

Rusko – Levitate Review + Tour + Skanker Video Contest

On April 20th UK’s Rusko kicked off his North American tour with the first show in Broomfield, CO. Levitate Festival was put on by Elm & Oak and AEG Live which also featured Picture Plane, Paper Diamond and DJ Shadow. We arrived as Paper Diamond began and he got us dancing with one of our favorites, Can We Go Up, plus the sounds of his fourth coming EP, Wavesight. After the Shadowsphere was all set up, DJ Shadow entertained the crowd both musically and visually. He played from inside his white Shadowsphere with projections and alternated between facing the crowd and letting them get lost in the visuals on and behind him. When it was time for Rusko to take the stage he instantly electrified everyone. With the lit up letters of his name moving up and down behind, he played mostly new tracks from the album Songs such as Somebody to Love. Rusko’s booth is set up in such a way that you can see him from head-to-toe, revealing his goofy, upbeat dancing that can make anyone laugh. But now he wants to see you dance! He is currently holding a video contest for his song Skanker. Check out the video below for more info. All the tours dates and ticket information are also listed below the video.

Identity Music Festival- Tour dates & Lineup Announced

Identity Music Festival first debuted last summer as the first ever touring ELECTRONIC MUSIC ONLY festival. In terms of NY they were definitely competing with what was our only NY festival Electric Zoo. I gotta admit for their first festival their line-up was pretty amazing and definitely out did Electric Zoo’s line-up. After their huge success they’re coming back again this summer and announced tour dates along with the first phase of the line-up. The 11 names they’ve announced so far shows the diversity of EDM genres represented at the event, which should make all EDM fans want to attend. The initial line up is as follows:

Wolfgang Gartner

Excision

Madeon

Porter Robinson

Nero- dj set

Paul Van Dyk

Arty

Doctor P

Noisia

Showtek

and ERIC PRYDZ……YES….ERIC PRYDZ!

It is well known in the EDM scene that Eric Prydz isn’t one to travel to the US, which is why i’m shocked, amazed, and impressed that Identity has him on their lineup. Tickets are currently on-sale and they’re offering tickets for $ 40.00 as an early bird special. Go to Livenation.com ASAP to catch this deal before it runs out. Here are the tour dates and locations:

Electric Daisy Carnival NYC: Line Up Announced!

If you’re an EDM fan in the east coast then you’ve probably been waiting for this day since tickets originally went on sale in March. Earlier this month Insomniac Events released the massive EDC vegas line up so naturally those on the east coast felt kind of left out. Earlier this week Pasquale (CEO of Insomniac Events) tweeted that the line up would FINALLY be released this Friday at noon, and what a line up it is.

Prior to the announcement of EDC NYC the only major EDM festival NY had was Electric Zoo, and they are definitely trying to  compete with each other. Earlier this month Electric Zoo announced their line up but was missing a DJ who is pretty much a festival staple, Armin Van Buuren. Armin has played Electric Zoo since it’s first festival so it was surprising not to see him on the line up and a lot of fans were angry about it. Electric Zoo has some stiff competition considering EDC is bringing the crazy carnival experience they’re known for, a star packed line up, AND Armin Van Buuren. There is also going to be a Size Matters tent (which is new) and an ASOT tent like they had at this years Ultra. If you live in the east coast or NYC and don’t have a ticket…. well, what are you waiting for?? 3 day tickets are still available and after seeing this line up they are sure to sell out fast.

Borgore at Belly Up Aspen

  • Document One Document One

Borgore is an artist that is know for he great productions that are usually accompanied by some edgy lyrics. When comes down to it you most likely ether love him or hate him, most people love him and after seeing him live I understand why.  His set was very well pieced together and he is very good at mixing between songs. He plays a lot of songs that have a consistent feel to his, but when he drops songs like Nympho and Flex the crowd bursts into the words. Borgore also brings an element to his shows that truly no one else has, pole dancers. This is very fitting for a show like his and most definitely keep some of crowds attention. Document One opened up the show very well and I’m definitely interested in finding out more about him. The Flex Tour is almost over so be sure to catch Borgore if you haven’t already!
